Manhole Cover on Jl Gading Elok Raya Dismantled

As many as 250 joint personnel of Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Dept, urban village and local residents dismantled an inrit (manhole cover) along Jl Gading Elok Raya, RW 11 and 13, Kelapa Gading Timur, Kelapa Gading. The dismantling is done to ease the Infrastructure and Public Facility Handling (PPSU) officer in cleaning water channel.

Prior to dismantling, the inrit was often overflowing and inundated Jalan Gading Elok Raya as high as 30 cm

Tulus Harjo, Head of Kelapa Gading Timur Urban Village stated the inrit which has 200 meters long was previously filled with trash and mud. That is why, his side decided to dismantle it.

“ Prior to dismantling, the inrit was often overflowing and inundated Jalan Gading Elok Raya as high as 30 cm ,” he told, Monday (12/14).

Previously, the socialization towards citizen was conducted where they obligated to dismantle the buildings by themselves. But it was ignored.

“I hope the water in the channel could flow smoothly and not overflow onto the street,” he hoped.
